Calgary Homeless Foundation appoints new President and CEO

(Calgary, AB) The Calgary Homeless Foundation is pleased to advise Tim Richter, Vice President and Project Manager of the 10 Year Plan, has been appointed President and CEO effective April 16, 2008.
 
Mr. Richter replaces Wayne Stewart, who is retiring after serving the Foundation since October 2006. Mr. Stewart provided transitional leadership to the Calgary Homeless Foundation during creation of the 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.
 
Mr. Richter joined the Calgary Homeless Foundation in 2007 serving as Project Manager for the 10 Year Plan and Vice President of the Foundation. Before joining the Foundation Mr. Richter served as Director of Government Relations at TransAlta Corporation.
 
Wayne wishes to thank the media, partner agencies, and the many dedicated
community members for their support during his tenure. He says ”our many
friends in the media have been instrumental in raising public awareness of
homelessness and in encouraging decision makers in government and the
private sector. I sincerely appreciate their support and trust they will continue to
support Tim and the Foundation. If we all work together, we will end
homelessness in Calgary and provide a safe secure home for all.”
 
Founded in 1998, The Calgary Homeless Foundation exists to end
homelessness in Calgary.
